Ojai Film Festival to screen Iran’s ‘Parallel Parking’

Iranian short film ‘Parallel Parking’ is to participate at the Ojai Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short film ‘Parallel Parking’ is set to participate at the Ojai Film Festival in the US.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Parallel Parking’, directed by Darya Azari, will be screened at the 22nd edition of the American event.

“A young boy embarrassed by his mother insists she drops him off near his school. One day, after circling the block several times, the mother is forced to pick her son up in front of the school. As she tries to smooth things over, the son learns an important lesson about love,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The Ojai Film Festival “has a reputation for showcasing the best new films from emerging and established filmmakers”, according to an online submission platform.

The festival “provides audiences a diverse lineup of titles from around the world, including many groundbreaking works that would otherwise be inaccessible. At the same time, it gives filmmakers access to a highly appreciative audience of savvy and informed film fans”.

The 22nd edition of the event will take place on November 4-14.
